New SMS Broadcast service for parcel delivery and collectsOstomy Tasmania now offers a notification service each week for orders requiring parcel delivery, via mobile phone contacts. If you have a mobile and would like to be included on our list please let us know and we will endeavour to include you in our regular broadcast service. We will also look to issue regular notification reminder for those that collect from our office.
Ostomy Tasmania would be unable to provide our service to members without the valuable assistance provided by our volunteers. Volunteers receive and warehouse stock, pick and pack orders and prepare parcels for distribution by Australia Post. Volunteers also assist with IT, database and website management. We are extremely grateful for the contribution they make.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, and can commit to a regular time period on one or more of Monday, Tuesday or Thursday mornings, we would welcome your help. Please contact Sue on 6228 0799 or email email@example.com.
The Great Comebacks® Program began in 1984 under the leadership of Rolf Benirschke, with support from ConvaTec. It was designed to raise awareness of quality of life issues for people living with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, colorectal cancer or other diseases that can lead to ostomy surgery. Today the Great Comebacks community has spread far beyond its original borders, raising awareness around the globe through inspirational individuals who have chosen to share their stories and offer hope to others facing these diseases and transitioning to life after surgery.
